A feast for all of your senses, The 6th Annual Aki Matsuri brings together the city's top restaurants ranging from New American to traditional Japanese. This night of indulgence starts at 6:30pm on Thursday November 3, 2016.
Grab your $95 GA Ticket (a $106 value) to join some of the city's most talented chefs for 3 hours of edible delights as they serve signature dishes from some of the city's most coveted restaurants: be mesmerized by Nobu Matsuhisa's Nobu & enthralled by Hasaki Restaurant; while dishes from the Michelin Starred Tori Shin will have you wanting more.
Each participating restaurant will be serving up a unique specialty dish at its own booth, highlighting the flavors of Japan.
Your feast will be paired with unlimited sake and spirits, live entertainment by Taiko (Japanese drum) performers and dancers, plus a chance to win fabulous raffle prizes and participate in the silent auction.
Whether you're a foodie or a Japan enthusiast, Aki Matsuri promises to be an incredible culinary journey and a night to remember!
Aki Matsuri, meaning Autumn Festival, is a time-honored Japanese tradition when people gather to celebrate the fall season's harvest with bounties and special performances.
Join the Gohan Society, an organization that fosters the appreciation of Japanese culinary heritage in the U.S., for its annual fundraising event featuring some of the most lauded Japanese restaurants in the city.
In addition to some of their most popular dishes, each restaurant will be offering a creative dish made from fresh Tahitian tuna - a superior quality fish that can only be caught from the pristine waters around Tahiti in the South Pacific Ocean.
Only long-line fishing is permitted in these waters, ensuring that the tuna is sustainable. Plus, its rich and distinctive meat makes it the most sought-after species in the sushi auction market.
As you feast, enjoy a premium 3 Hour Premium Open Bar of assorted sakes, wines, spirits, fun cocktails such as Ume (plum) jello shots, and Brooklyn Brewery beer, plus live Japanese musical performances and chef demos - bringing the spirit of Tokyo right into the heart of NYC!
Your $95 GA Ticket (a $106 Value) Includes:
The evening’s proceeds will go to Gohan Society’s Chef Scholarship that will send two accomplished chefs to Japan to stage at some of Japan’s best restaurants.
May purchase as many tickets as you like for personal use or for gifting.
Quoted prices include all ticketing fees.
Event runs from 6:30pm until 9:30pm.
Expires on Thursday November 3, 2016.
