The visionary behind it all is Mathias Van Leyden, a hospitality vet who formerly served as General Manager at Cipriani & Buddha Bar. Loulou, above Adélaïde's, is named after his beloved rescue dog, and is part of the larger Loulou Group. Chef Jarett Brodie, whose background includes working with celebrated chefs like Tom Colicchio at Craft and Pierre Schutz at Jean-Georges’ Mercer Kitchen, also brings his culinary expertise to the table.

The sultry subterranean sister to Loulou, Adélaïde’s was conceived by restaurateur Mathias Van Leyden, whose hospitality pedigree includes roles as General Manager at Cipriani and Buddha Bar. A seasoned force in New York’s dining scene, Van Leyden named Loulou after his beloved rescue dog. Adélaïde’s represents the intimate, whimsical soul of his vision, where the elegance of French bistro dining above gives way to mystery and allure below.
