Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the New York Chapter, this legendary cook-off is expected to be one of the most attended in its history, drawing 800–1,000 chili-loving folks. It was even voted the #1 Event to Attend by Time Out in 2025!
Expect a flavor rodeo, where some of the city's finest pitmasters and kitchens go head-to-head in a chili cook-off. We’re talking The New York Times-lauded Hill Country, Pig Beach BBQ, fiery bites from Stout, Horns Hook Tavern, Esquire-celebrated Javelina by Chef Richard Caruso, the smoky brilliance of Cooleys BBQ, Eater-loved King David’s Tacos, and then some.
Between bites, wet your whistle with bottomless sips, catch live music and DJs spinning everything from honky-tonk to hype tracks, and two-step your way through a crowd that’s equal parts Southern charm and New York edge. There’ll be plenty of reasons to shout “holy jalapeño!” as you chase chili with another round.

The Texas Exes New York Chapter is bringing its legendary Chili Cook-Off to life once again at Pig Beach BBQ. Gather your crew, and dive into this boots-on-the-ground, queso-in-your-veins celebration where things get spicy in all the right ways.
We’re talking a sunshine-soaked, chili-filled, margarita-fueled kind of Sunday where the vibes are high and the heat is higher. Picture bubbling pots of slow-simmered chili, rivers of molten queso, and a crowd that came to eat, drink, and two-step their way through it all. It’s indulgence with a Lone Star twist!
This beloved cook-off raises funds to support New York students heading to University of Texas at Austin, helping offset sky-high out-of-state tuition and sending the next generation down South for an unforgettable education (and maybe a little burnt orange pride to bring back home).
Heavy hitters like Stout Grand Central, Hill Country BBQ, Horn’s Hook Tavern, Pig Beach BBQ, Common Country Bar, Javelina, Blue Haven, King David’s Tacos, Parklife, Cooley’s BBQ & Catering, Li’l Bob’s and more are bringing their boldest bowls and cheesiest creations to the table. You’ll taste them all, then cast your vote for the People’s Choice.
They’ll also be pouring sips by Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Shiner Beer, Pantalones Tequila by Matthew McConaughey, Desert Door Sotol, Montauk Brewing Company, Bronx Brewery, Bardstown Bourbon, Dano’s Dangerous Tequila, Narragansett Beer, Rambler Sparkling Water, Red Bull, and Waterloo Sparkling Water, because what’s chili without a little something to cool things down?
