Think decadence, dancing, and an overall immersive experience that is sure to wow your senses starting at 8:00pm on Saturday May 20, 2023.

Don your most creative ensemble, and join for a wild evening of costumes, cocktails, live entertainment, and dancing held throughout the League’s landmark building. Strike a pose in art studios transformed into rooms such as “The Garden Room,” an artistic interpretation of Spring, filled with earthly delights; and “The Studio Room,” where guests can become an artist or muse; and zen out in “The Dream Room”.
Dance the night away to music by DJ Black Helmet, marvel at burlesque performances by Cassandra Rosebeetle and Miss Syn Sultress, and delight in a costume parade with artist Guy Richards Smit, not to mention NYC legend, comedian, host, and international entertainer Murray Hill doling out prizes for the best dressed.

Did you know that a historic art school exists right in the heart of Manhattan? Since 1875, the Art Students League of New York has been a major force in shaping American art, with alums such as Jackson Pollack, Georgia O’Keeffe, Yayoi Kusama, and Faith Ringgold. The League is opening its historic doors to throw the wildest art costume party in Midtown—The Dream Ball!
Started in the 1920’s, at Waldorf Astoria & The Plaza Hotels, the Dream Ball has been beloved for its eccentric, handmade costumes, where high-society meets the radical artists of the Art Students League in a bacchanal inspired by an annual theme, with this year's being "Masquerade of Your Wildest Dreams." Each year, a Queen of the Ball was presented to the partygoers on a float, with past winners including Deborah Kerr & Anita Eckberg.
In the modern era, the party continues. This year, expect free-flowing tipples, and a procession of entertainment sure to wow you and your crew. Think DJ sounds, burlesque acts, immersive, interactive rooms designed to evoke your wildest fantasies, costume contests with prizes, and so much more.
