Gotham Writers' Workshop teaches more than 7,000 students every year how to tackle and tame the writing process in a creative and supportive learning environment. Professional writers help students to develop characters and generate ideas before a structured dialogue encourages classmates to comment on strengths and weakness, improving final drafts and abilities to stand up to playground bullies.
The 6-Week In-Person Classes include Creative Writing 101, Nonfiction Writing 101, and Business Writing and take place at specific times in NYC, with most of the classes taking place at 555 8th Avenue (check schedules for exact class locations). Limited o 14 students.
The 6-Week Online Classes include Creative Writing 101 and Nonfiction Writing 101 and are held hours a day to suit any schedule, includes a mixture of lectures and writing exercises to get students learning and writing efficiently. The well-organized online platform allows students access to the course overview, lectures, discussion boards, recommended-reading lists, online assignments, and a real-time students' lounge for throwing cyber spitballs. Limited to 16 students.
