The exciting young violinist Simone Porter has been hailed for her virtuosity, lush sound, and probing intellect. She joins 92NY for her 92NY debut. Her bold solo set includes the New York premiere of Drishti and Esa-Pekka Salonen’s joyful, Pierrot Lunaire-inspired Lachen Verlernt. Porter and De Silva close the program with Strauss’s lyrical E-flat Major Sonata, reflecting the range of talent and viewpoint of this compelling young artist.
