The legendary NYCB principal dancer Heather Watts will discuss one of her most iconic roles in Balanchine's Agon. The 1957 piece created in collaboration with Igor Stravinsky became an instant modern dance masterpiece. The one-hour lecture will include demonstration of the central pas de deux, featuring Unity Phelan, soloist at NYCB and Calvin Royal III, recently promoted to soloist at the American Ballet Theatre.
