Kurt Jooss, pioneering choreographer, dancer and theoretician, “one of the world’s most brilliant dance minds” (The New York Times) stood among the great figures of 20th-century dance. His anti-war masterpiece, The Green Table, is as resonant today as it was when first performed in 1932. On the stage of Kaufmann Concert Hall, the Paul Taylor Dance Company makes its New York City debut with a new production of The Green Table. The performance is followed by a conversation with policy experts Dr. Stephen Biddle and Janine di Giovanni. Join in for an evening that explores and celebrates the role of art in social protest.
