Emma Goldman arrived in New York City on August 15th, 1889 and would call the East Village home for part of her time here, years before J. Edgar Hoover labelled her the most dangerous woman in America. While in New York Goldman would develop her own political philosophy and skills as a powerful orator. Goldman also was an advocate for the emancipation of women. On this tour, you will walk to places Goldman frequented in her time and discuss her legacy. Bring your walking shoes and a friend!
