This panel discussion led by Zack O'Farrill will feature young musicians that are on the front edge of the Afro-Latin musical evolution. They will discuss how they draw upon the tradition in the creation of their own vision of contemporary improvised music. Panelists include Martin Vejerano (Colombian percussionist, clarinetist and bandleader) and Ahmed Alom - Cuban pianist, arranger, and educator.
