In 2013, Chef JJ Johnson helped open Harlem restaurant The Cecil, which went on to become an instant hit. His innovative interpretation of African-American fod traditions was groundbreaking in redefining Black cooking in America. His latest project is Between Harlem and Heaven, which explores the African foodways on global cuisine through 100 of the restaurant's most iconic recipes. Come early for the complimentary snack tastings, followed by a discussion with Chef Johnson and Therese Nelson. Free to RSVP.
