Häagen-Dazs is arguably the OG artisan ice cream maker, long before such things even existed. If the subway ads have been making you nostalgic, take the train down to Brooklyn Heights for the Grand Re-Opening of their first-ever free-standing store (opened in 1976). The ribbon cutting ceremony starts at 10:45am on Saturday July 16, and there will be free ice cream for all from 11am to 3pm. Yum!
