If you have never tried an arepa, you will definitely want to check out this great demo on Saturday (if you've had arepas, then clearly we don't need to convince you). Venezuelan Chef Adriana Lopez Vermut, founder of Pica Pica Maize Kitchen in San Francisco and Napa will be showing how to craft these little delights at Macy's, so stop by for a tutorial and a taste. The arepas (basically little biscuits of corn floury goodness) will be made with several traditional fillings.
