Trust your taste buds to a team of incredibly talented kitchen masterminds. Chef & Owner Haru Kim (of Mochiron, Momofuku Noodle Bar, Setagaya Ramen Takumi, Totto Ramen, and Teisui fame) has collaborated with Chef Jason, a French Culinary Institute graduate whose resume includes Kori, Mercer Kitchen, the Williamsburg Hotel, Domodomo, Toribro, as well as some of the same locales as Chef Kim.
Their shared passion and next-level culinary acumen results in exquisite presentations like the Crab Croquettes and the Salmon Taco, both tapas favorites that precede mains like the signature Donkatsu (pork katsu, daily banchan, rice, soup) and the Gim Butter Salmon, not to mention the Kimchi Paella, layering rice, kimchi, bacon, egg, fried garlic, onion, and veggies.
For dessert, the dreamy Toasted Injeolmi Sundae is divine. So forget the flight - you've found a piece of Seoul right here in NYC...
At Norimen, Korean roots meet New York sensibility. A newly minted treasure of Korean cuisine with fusion sensations, it's quickly becoming a staple, drawing you in with its authentic fare, and making you feel right at home with the vibes, the eats, and the drinks that combine for the perfect balance of epicurean bliss and laidback revelry.
Inside, light wood-laden interiors are balanced by a wraparound teal bar, all the while illuminated by soft lighting, and dotted with fresh orchids and other pops of greenery like cactus and palms. It all evokes a sense of nature amidst the hustle & bustle of the city this gem calls home.
The bar program is as thoughtful as it is expressive. The curated cocktail menu features original creations that reinterpret Korean flavors, like the Moogoong, a raspberry-infused soju and hibiscus syrup cocktail inspired by both the Clover Club and South Korea’s national flower. Or the Kongsool, which blends fresh sesame soymilk soju and cucumber shrub, evoking the essence of a chilled Korean noodle dish.
Behind the kitchen at Norimen is a duo whose combined experience brings depth, precision, and creativity to every plate. Chef and Owner Haru Kim (known for his work at Mochiron, Momofuku Noodle Bar, Setagaya Ramen Takumi, Totto Ramen, and Teisui) leads with a deep understanding of both traditional and modern Asian cuisine.
He’s joined by Chef Jason, a graduate of the French Culinary Institute, whose culinary journey spans respected kitchens like Kori, Mercer Kitchen, the Williamsburg Hotel, Domodomo, and Toribro, not to mention a few overlapping credits with Chef Kim, creating a natural synergy rooted in shared experience and mutual respect.
Together, they blend Korean and Japanese influences with New York edge, crafting a menu that’s both playful, refined, and distinct. This is where technical skill meets intuitive flavor, and every dish reflects a story worth tasting...

"Norimen is one of those places you wish you had discovered sooner. As others have mentioned, it feels like a hidden gem. Every detail of the space feels intentional, from the décor to the pretty ceiling. Everything on the menu sounded tempting, and everything we tried turned out to be fantastic. The cocktails were another highlight. The toasted injeolmi sundae was the perfect sweet ending. As someone who’s had plenty of Korean food growing up, I can honestly say Norimen is the real deal. Highly recommend giving Norimen a try."
"I went with my husband. It’s not something you can easily find, more of a fusion style, and everything tasted fresh and delicious. The sauces were unique and flavorful, and the service was excellent. We really enjoyed it."
"The Korean fried chicken was a standout—crispy on the outside, juicy and tender on the inside, and coated in a perfectly balanced spicy-sweet glaze. The spicy salmon taco was fresh, flavorful, and paired perfectly with the drinks. The vibe was super chill, and the staff were genuinely friendly. All in all, great flavors, a cozy atmosphere, and definitely a spot I’d come back to."
