"In true Parisian fashion," according to the critics at The Infatuation, Les Vagabonds is all about the "bistro classics," treating New Yorkers to French fare with a Manhattan twist, all while being nestled just steps from the East River waterfront in Sutton Place.

The names of traditional dishes adorn floor to ceiling windows as they would on the facade of a Paris bistro, mirroring the warmth & cozy authenticity of a getaway sans the flight. Chef Teo Navarette is the brains behind the epicurean bliss, bringing his expertise to the table from his other hotspot, Osteria Nando.
Weekends get a "fantastique" upgrade via plates of Croque Madame, aka a gourmet French sandwich with ham, cheese, béchamel sauce, gruyere, parmesan, and a fried egg. Other favorites include the luscious Short Rib Hash and its meaty flavors; and the Salmon Avocado Toast, each mouthful hitting the spot alongside some bubbly mimosas and bellinis.

It simply doesn't get more authentic than a trip to Les Vagabonds. As about as close to getting on a plane to Paris and landing in a streetside cafe on Boulevard Saint-Germain or Rue Saint-Rustique in Montmartre, this Sutton Place treasure is where weekends become a transportive excursion, and the vibes are ready to spark some major wanderlust.
According to Co-Owner Motrya Tomycz, the gem is inspired by a book of Man Ray photography that Co-Owner & Chef Chef Edgar “Teo” Navarette (of Osteria Nando fame) had at home. The idea to open a French restaurant was sparked around the name Les Vagabonds, with the photos from the book acting as the spark of creativity & artistry.
The etched motorcycle logo nods to the name, and although the Champs-Élysées might be out of reach, the East River is just a block away, so post stroll along the waterfront, cuddle up to this cozy, rustic jewel that's been curated to evoke the charms of a classic Parisian bistro.
Vintage French food & drink advertisements adorn crimson walls illuminated by soft lighting that glows like the City of Lights. You and your brunch crew will settle in, feeling as though you've been whisked away from The Big Apple while you clink brunch cocktails made using fresh fruit purées and top notch bubbles - or wine if you opt for their signature sangria.
The cuisine is magnifique, and oh-so classically French. Think Croque Monsieur and an Omelet À La Ciboulette, or a fluffy Scramble with chorizo and manchego, not to mention the Steak Frites, a 10oz NY Strip that comes with fries and the secret Les Vagabonds Sauce.
From start to finish, this brunch is a "un beau rêve"...
