Lady Wilde's has settled into Midtown with chandeliers overhead, a marble bar up front, and an "open whenever you need us" schedule that reflects the City That Never Sleeps mentality.
The spot comes courtesy of owner John McCorry, and the Victorian-meets-downtown-NYC look does a lot of the talking inside> Imagine vintage paintings, a hanging ceiling clock, and warm lighting that somehow works just as well for a first date as it does for a rowdy boozy brunch. It's the kind of room that photographs well but doesn't try too hard, which regulars seem to have picked up on fast.
The food and drink menu leans into crowd-pleasers done right. It's handcrafted cocktails, ice-cold beers, and a kitchen turning out everything from steak salads and shishito peppers to giant pretzels and burgers regulars already can't stop talking about.
