Modern flair, a Caribbean core, tipples that bubble blissfully. Kokomo is a weekend warrior's dream that "brings the West Indies to the Brooklyn waterfront," according to The New York Times. Expect a chic Caribbean escape hiding in plain sight, created by husband-and-wife duo Ria and Kevol Graham. With stunning interiors, a buzzing scene, and a brunch that has become the stuff of legend, Kokomo has earned its place among Brooklyn's most sought-after Saturday splendors.
The story behind Kokomo is just as inspiring as the space itself. New York natives Ria and Kevol built the restaurant as a tribute to their Caribbean heritage and the cultures that shaped them. Ria's family roots trace back to Trinidad and Grenada, while Kevol was born in Jamaica and raised in the Bronx. Together, they envisioned a place where New Yorkers could experience the warmth, hospitality, creativity, and joy of the Caribbean without ever leaving the city.
The interiors are jaw-dropping, to say the least. Think lush tropical greenery, glowing golden bamboo, statement chandeliers, dreamy lighting, and enough Instagram-worthy snaps to fill your camera roll before the first cocktail even arrives. Every room serves up a different vibe, from romantic swing seating and intimate corners to colorful retreats inspired by Caribbean rainforests and island villages. It's immersive, transportive, and unapologetically extra in all the right ways.
In the kitchen, Executive Chef Christian Aranibar delivers a menu that celebrates the rich melting pot of Caribbean cuisine with a fresh, contemporary edge. Influences from Africa, India, China, Europe, and Latin America weave through every dish, creating bold flavors that feel both familiar and exciting.
Speaking of cocktails, Kokomo's beverage program is a destination in itself. Crafted by acclaimed mixologist Simone Bailey, the drinks are tropical, playful, beautifully presented, and dangerously easy to keep ordering. Add in waterfront breezes, infectious music, and electric energy, it's easy to see why Kokomo has become the icon that it is today.
Come hungry, come thirsty, and don't be surprised if you find yourself staying much longer than planned...
All selections will be made from the restaurant's full dinner menu.

"The atmosphere was amazing. I celebrated my birthday here with my partner. Some tables were candlelit, and a few even had swing seats, which was such a fun touch. The portions are generous and the quality is outstanding. I highly recommend the oxtail, it was incredibly tender, and the gravy was unforgettable."
"The ambience here was absolutely amazing. The reggae music played at just the right volume, setting the perfect Caribbean mood. Our server was exceptional. He knew the menu inside out and gave the best recommendations. The food was cooked to perfection, and the sides were equally delicious, seasoned with all the authentic Caribbean spices and herbs. Thank you for having us, we had a blast and can’t wait to be back!"
"Returned to Kokomo for a 2nd time! Our server was attentive and wonderful! I maintain my rating of 5/5! I really enjoyed my time here. The music set the vibe and it was perfect. I'm a chicken and waffles girl, and it was amazing. It was cooked perfectly and bursting with flavor. Lastly, I had some of my boyfriend's lamb chops and they were delightful, seasoned well and so flavorful. All in all the food was great and I would absolutely come back here again!"
