Opened in 2025 from the brains behind hotspots like The Reading Room and Hold Fast comes By & By. Co-owners Niamh Daly, Brian Daly, and Jason Clark wanted to bring the home comforts of different countries to the table, infusing them with a bit of Manhattan-cool style for the ultimate foray into global flavors.
The name By & By - which can mean “before long” or “soon” - is intentionally split into two parts and styled in distinct fonts on the menu to reflect its dual nature as both a high end restaurant, and a trendy cocktail haven. The merging of two concepts into one allows the space to be something for everyone, making the dynamic gem a coveted newcomer.
The confines feels simultaneously fresh and familiar. Nestled within a horseshoe-shaped space on the ground floor of a walk-up apartment building, a cohesive color palette of light blue and black, accented with touches of gold, ties it all together. There is a dreamy social buzz that permeates the air, welcoming you into what feels like a chic home away from home.
The drinks program, also run by mixology maestro Daly, reps inventive tipples that will heighten every bite.
