That burger, famously limited to just a dozen a night & often only served at the bar, became a cult sensation. Now, Chef Claude brings that same precision, indulgence, and artistry to Burgers and Beers.
The soul of Burgers and Beers is built on the rich history of one of New York’s most iconic restaurant families. Jimmy Sanz, a Spanish immigrant who built a restaurant empire from the ground up, is the legendary force behind neighborhood staples like Tio Pepe, Las Ramblas, The Taco Shop, Burrito Loco, Da Rosina, and Casa Pepe.
For over 50 years, the Sanz family has been feeding New York with an unwavering passion for hospitality. Today, the legacy lives on through his son, Jimmy Sanz Jr., who continues to innovate while staying true to the family’s roots.
