Tucked away within the boutique 42 Hotel in Williamsburg, Blackbird is ready to level up your weekend. With love from The Infatuation and serious chef credentials behind it, this stunner is led by none other than Brooklyn’s own Chef Eric LeVine, a two-time James Beard Award nominee and "Chopped" champion, trained at The Culinary Institute of America and mentored by legend David Burke.

Chef LeVine is a Brooklyn-born culinary icon whose journey blends formal training, international apprenticeship, and entrepreneurial flair. In addition to his time with Burke at the River Café, he also honed his talents under Jean‑Louis Le Massion in France, Giovanni Brunello in Italy, and Lee Ho in Japan, learning both refined techniques and bold flavors.

Over the years he's found success at his other hotspots, namely Morris Tap & Grill, 317 Main Street in Farmingdale, Vico, The James Room, The Nutty Irishman, and more recently Blackbird and Evolution, both inside he same gorgeous hotel. He is also a cookbook author, a TV personality (notably a winner of "Chopped"), and a multiple award‑winner whose work increasingly reflects his passion for seasonal, local sourcing and bringing nostalgic, neighborhood‑rooted flavors to new heights.

Blackbird is where it all comes together by way of bold technique, nostalgic vibes, and a globe-trotting palate. From crave-worthy brunch classics to globally inspired plates, every bite is designed to hit your taste buds and awaken your epicurean soul. The vibe is industrial-chic meets cozy glam. Think exposed textures, warm lighting, vintage chandeliers, and a mural courtesy of local artist Yaniv Lahiji.
