The Philippines comes to Astoria is delicious fashion at Barkada Social Club. Translating to mean your close group of friends in Tagalog, Barkada is a dream of flavor and cultural feels, blending neighborhood charm with a menu that's as delectable as it is wanderlust-inducing.

Grab your $49 pulse (a $102 value) for a 3 Course Dinner For Two that includes 1 Appetizer, 2 Mains, 1 Dessert, and 1 Bottle of Wine or 1 Pitcher of Draft Beer.

Chef and owner Giemay Manuel, an Astoria native, leads the kitchen with deep roots in the local Filipino community. A graduate of the Institute of Culinary Education, she honed her skills at her parents’ well-loved Filipino restaurant, Kabayan, in Woodside and Sunnyside. Her training and heritage come together in a culinary style that celebrates tradition while embracing innovation.

Start the night with a gorgeous bottle of wine and some Pork BBQ, aka grilled pork skewers glazed with Filipino-style barbecue sauce and served with spiced vinegar & atchara. For mains, the Pan-Fried Tilapia shines, not to mention the juicy Skirt Steak, a tender dream with coconut vinegar chimichurri & rosemary potatoes.

Finally, the Ube Nutella Crepe is a sweet sensation, layered with fresh strawberries and banana. Nights like these? A superb adventure you won't soon forget...

As night falls, Barkada Social Club comes alive. Warm red hues glow against the walls, shadows dancing beneath the tall banana palms, a subtle nod to the Philippines where these leaves have long shaded family feasts and street-side gatherings. It's moody, a little mysterious, and effortlessly cool.

"Barkada" means your closest crew in Tagalog, and this place is built for exactly that. Late-night laughs over shared plates. Drinks that turn into toasts. A soundtrack that keeps the energy pulsing just right. Be it with your best pals or for a romantic date, it’s a night out with plenty of flavor.

Chef/Owner Giemay Manuel, an Astoria native, brings soul and precision to every dish. Trained at the Institute of Culinary Education and raised in the kitchen of her family’s iconic Filipino spots in Woodside and Sunnyside, she blends heritage and innovation with ease. The result? A menu of Filipino-American comfort classics with a bold, unexpected twist.

With a bottle of wine, savor plates like Tuna Ceviche, aka fresh sashimi grade yellowfin tuna cured Filipino-style, not to mention the Pork Belly Kare-Kare, which combines crispy pork belly with rich peanut sauce, eggplant, bok choy & string beans. Finally, the Leche Flan (silky caramel flan topped with fresh strawberries) ends things on a sweet high.

Some secrets are too good to share. This one is worth shouting about...
