A Japanese favorite since 1951 with 80 locations across Japan, Yasubee teamed up with the masterminds behind beloved bubble tea empire Kung Fu Tea (founded in Queens by entrepreneurs Ming Ye, Ray Huang, Allen Wang, and Michael Luo) to bring its signature noodles and comforting fare stateside. Every dish is made fresh in-house daily, from the handmade noodles to the rich broths and crave-worthy toppings.

A Forbes-featured gem tucked away in Chelsea, Yasubee Ramen is bringing the soul of Tokyo to New York City with loaded bowls, handmade noodles, and refreshing sips made for summer nights. Founded in 1951 in Tokyo’s legendary Omoide Yokocho alley, Yasubee has spent decades perfecting its craft across 80+ locations throughout Japan, and now, its very first international outpost has officially landed in Manhattan.
The NYC location arrives in collaboration with Kung Fu Tea, America’s largest bubble tea brand with more than 350 locations nationwide. Founded in Queens in 2010 by entrepreneurs Michael, Allen, Ray, and later joined by Sean, Kung Fu Tea grew from a simple mission: bringing real-deal bubble tea to the masses after the founders struggled to find quality boba in New York.
Today, the beloved tea giant joins forces with Yasubee to pair iconic Japanese noodles with fan-favorite drinks like Brown Sugar Milk Tea and other icy, refreshing teas that cool things down between bites.
Inside the contemporary space, you can dig into Yasubee’s famed tsukemen, which are thick homemade noodles served separately from a rich, savory dipping broth designed for maximum slurp satisfaction. Alongside sublime ramen bowls, donburi, and Japanese small plates, the menu practically begs for a crisp beer, whether it’s a citrusy Yuzu Ale, earthy Matcha IPA, or one of the imported Japanese brews perfect for washing down karaage fried chicken, dumplings, and then some.
