Thomas Taft Salon was founded in 2013 by Owner and Master Artist Melyssa Graham, following a decade of experience in Manhattan’s top salons. Melyssa envisioned a space that fostered a welcoming, community-driven atmosphere for clients from all walks of life, while also allowing each Hair Artist the freedom to express their unique talents.
Named after her grandfather, the salon reflects a legacy of craftsmanship and a passion for working with one’s hands. Thomas Taft Salon quickly gained recognition, even being featured on CNBC’s Five Day Biz Fix, and has since expanded from its original Upper East Side location to Soho in 2018 and the Upper West Side in 2021.
