Created by legendary NYC restauranteur, chef, and social entrepreneur Jimmy Carbone, Food Karma Projects creates unique events that showcase the finest local food, NYC chefs, craft beer, regional wine, and artisanal spirits while benefiting non-profit community groups.
The 2016 Porktoberfest is a foodie's paradise celebrating one of gastronomy's legendary flavor combinations: Pork & beer! You'll be feasting on endless pork dishes, beers & ciders for 3 hours, while soaking up fall's rays and enjoying the live music.
Some of the food stations include Country Style Ribs by Fletchers Brooklyn BBQ, Harry Hawk's "Schnack" burgers and "Bigos" Pork & Sauerkraut, Jimmy's BBQ Ribs using heritage pork from Flying Pigs Farm, slow-roasted porchetta sandwiches, and so much more.
You don’t have to be a carnivore to attend; several vegetarian friendly side stations will offer plenty of other fall harvest food. This is a celebration of regional food and drink that is not to be missed!
