Inspired by the rich heritage of founder & Puglia-native Lunella, this Nolita serves up dishes that are both meticulously crafted and indulgently sumptuous. In 2021, daughter Rossana Russo broke new ground by becoming the first female president of the Little Italy Merchants Association. Today, Lunella proudly stands as one of only three woman-owned restaurants in the neighborhood.

Founded in 1984 by Italian-born owner Lunella Russo, this charming oasis has been lovingly passed down to her daughter, Rossana Russo. Every dish is infused with the same passion for culture and cuisine that first inspired their family's journey from Italy to Manhattan.

The Vitello al Marsala with veal sautéed in a marsala wine sauce is simply exquisite, best enjoyed while marveling at the enchanting interiors. "Got a pulsd voucher for a dinner here, and it's absolutely sensational. The food, drinks, and service we're top notch. Food: it was for a 3 course dinner for two people, so we ordered the meatballs to start, followed by the Bistecca, and the Salmone. For dessert, we had tiramisu. WOW. The flavors, presentation, and everything about these dishes were perfection. Drinks: the voucher also came with a bottle of wine. Our waiter gave a few suggestions and we ended up with a bottle of red - it was absolutely stunning. Service: This place makes you feel like family! The scene is cozy, and extra charming, and will now be on our list of favorites. We will definitely be back!"
