Founder Han Chiang & his mother, Lung Lung, first opened Han Dynasty in 2007, bringing Sichuan style spice to an American audience. The success of the inaugural spot has led to 10 more locations across Philadelphia and NYC, each one upholding a commitment to sharing family recipes & a passion for food and culture.
The interiors are a blend of modern edge and traditional Chinese elements. Think sleek, contemporary furnishings with dark wooden tables and chairs, balanced by vibrant pops of that evoke classic Chinese aesthetics, and walls adorned with hand painted murals depicting New York City scenes, not to mention a dramatic dragon and a panda riding a horse.
The portions are generous, so come prepared, relishing a glass of wine or an ice-cold brew as you bite into Pork Belly in Sweet Garlic Chili Oil Sauce.
