Marvel at the interiors awash in color, cultural artifacts, gorgeous textiles, and fresh flowers as you swoon over the menu that features high-quality succulent meat and organic produce, locally farmed. Start with some robust red wine as you devour flaky, delectable Mini Umka Perfect Puff Pies.
Next up, the tender Braised Lamb Chunk is divine, in addition to the Ox Tail Stew - a traditional dish slowly braised with chick peas, served with onion, and topped with fresh herbs. If you crave something with a fiery hit, the Beef Filet Mignon Shashlyk is magnificent.

Farida's menu reflects a synthesis of cuisines from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, and beyond, treating your taste buds to the delectable delicacies of these rich cultures. The spot is also named after owner Farida Gabbassova-Ricciardelli, who runs the restaurant along with her husband, Chef Umitjon Kamolov.
According to Eater, "Farida presents a greatest hits of Central Asian cuisine," whose "food is wholesome and freshly prepared by a chef and crew that display a real zeal for the cuisine." Begin your feast as you cuddle up to private booths or convivial tables, being wowed by live music and enchanting belly dancers on select nights.
A few glasses of wine will go wonderfully alongside starters like Fried Chuchvara - fried little handmade dumplings stuffed with ground beef and served with organic tomato sauce, or the Mix Spread with babaganoush, hummus, eggplant caviar, zucchini caviar, traditional tomato-onion spread.
For entrees, favorites include the Handmade Manti, which are large steamed dumplings stuffed with juicy hand cut steak and onion, served alongside sour cream or kefir yogurt. The Lamb Stew With Tomatoes is also a dream, repping very tender baby lamb ribs.
The Walnut Pahlava (baked pastry with crunchy walnut and honey) will seal the deal on this outstanding endeavor, so come hungry, and get lost in all the amazing flavors...
