For over 30 years, this family-style Italian spot has served up heaping platters of classic, crave-worthy dishes that feel like Sunday dinner at Nonna’s - if Nonna had a Times Square address and a knack for feeding celebrities.
It’s no surprise stars like Jon Hamm, Olivia Munn, Tom Hanks, Charlie Puth, and Jon Bon Jovi have all pulled up a chair. Founded by Artie Cutler & his wife Alice, Executive Chef Glenn Rolnick leads the kitchen, crafting dishes that bring the rich flavors of Southern Italian cuisine to life.
To shake things up, on select nights, Carmine’s transforms into Lou Zar’s - an underground speakeasy straight out of 1927, where danger dances with delight. Presented by The Murder Mystery Company (featured on ABC’s “Shark Tank”), Speakeasy, Die Softly is their most elaborate and laugh-out-loud immersive murder mystery yet.
Set in the newly-renovated Sinatra Room at the legendary Carmine’s in Times Square, this killer evening pairs theatrical thrills with a mouthwatering three-course, family-style Italian feast. It’s a night where glitz, grit, and gourmet collide. As the story unfolds, you’ll find yourself amid flappers, mobsters, and bootleggers, with live jazz from the club’s star chanteuse Lucy Morals and her slick accompanist, Keys Yacar.
Once you've been whisked away to this hidden, all-new dinner theater scene transformed into a swanky 1920s speakeasy, costumed characters welcome you into the scene. Next, you'll sip on cocktails, sway to live jazz, and try your luck at the roulette table. While the show kicks off, ricture yourself devouring Caesar Salad, Chicken Parmigiana, Shrimp Scampi, and Tiramisu, devouring every delectable bite.
But don’t get too comfortable - the feds are closing in. Guests must help disguise the joint as a “legitimate Italian restaurant” before the law comes knocking. And if that weren’t enough, someone’s committed a cold-blooded murder. With your table team, you'll interrogate suspects, hunt for clues, and race to unmask the killer, who could be anyone in the room.
