Uhuru Design is a multi-disciplinary design firm based in Red Hook, Brooklyn. Founded in 2004, Uhuru began as a high-end custom furniture design + build company with a focus on timeless, sustainable design. Uhuru has since completed numerous concept design and build-outs for high-profile projects in the commercial, restaurant/retail, residential and hospitality sectors. Leading the vanguard of New American Design, Uhuru’s pieces have been placed in the Smithsonian Museum, Brooklyn Museum and A+D Museum’s permanent collections. We are a vertically integrated company on the hunt for entrepreneurial self-starters, inspired account managers, creative professionals, operational experts, woodworkers, metal workers and a range of additional office and technical positions.
