THE ELK is a specialty coffee shop + general store located in New York City. The original location at 128 Charles Street opened in 2014, in the historic West Village of New York City. A second location opened in 2022 in the heart of bustling Nolita/Soho, at 228 Mott Street. Founded by Vancouver BC Canada native, Claire Chan, THE ELK features coffee roasted by Brooklyn based Parlor Coffee, and a menu of lite and healthy bites. There is also a curated selection of home, wellness and lifestyle items for sale both in-store and online. Inspired by her roots in the Pacific Northwest, Claire infused THE ELK's decor and ethos with the spirit of the outdoors. With a focus on social responsibility, sustainable practices, and better living, THE ELK is committed to offering guests the highest quality ingredients.
