The Canvas was founded in 2018 by Devin Gilmartin and Tegan Maxey with the motivation to provide a space for a community, a “blank canvas” where people and brands unite around ethical fashion. Having originally started a brand called Querencia Studio, their encounters with other small, emerging ethical brands consistently brought to light an insight which led to the founding of The Canvas.
