This is Talde’s eighth restaurant, and one of three in Hotel 50 Bowery. Initially known for his run on Top Chef, Talde turns back to Asia for Rice & Gold's menu, with inspiration found in Thailand, China, the Philippines, Vietnam and beyond. The largely Asian spot pulls flavors from countries spanning the world, like with its lamb neck barbecue bao, jerk roast duck, and corned beef tongue skewers. In the morning, the 180-seat space has an entire section devoted to dumplings, plus concessions to a traditional American breakfast with eggs, pancakes, avocado toast, and more.
