New Jersey is one of the wealthiest states in the country. However, as of 2019, 9.9% of the population is food insecure which includes 8.9 % of children under the age of 18. The onset of the Covid-19 pandemic increased these percentages drastically. RLC NJ hopes to contribute to reducing those numbers significantly in 2022. RLC New Jersey currently operates in Jersey City, Hoboken, Bayonne, and Union City. We are always looking for Food Donor Partners as well as volunteers to help rescue food from places like cafes, restaurants, meal delivery stores, bakeries, and more.
