Dr. Martens, the iconic British shoe company, will soon open a retail store at 103 Smith Street in Boerum Hill near Atlantic Avenue. According to its web site, "Dr. Martens’ appeal to people who have their own individual style but share a united spirit – authentic characters who stand for something. People who possess a proud sense of self- expression. People who are different." In recent years, the company has opened several shops in New York City, including another Brooklyn store on Bedford Avenue. According to a real estate listing from Agorafy, the 845 sq. ft. storefront was offered at $10,563 a month.
