310 Bowery Bar
Living in cramped apartments in Brooklyn and The Lower East Side, The Nonna (Grandma) lived to cook for her family. As a special treat to the grandkids, she took pride in stretching her dough across the family pan to bake her specialty homemade pizza. Each Nonna’s recipe was unique, combining store-bought ingredients with those made from scratch. It was a way to preserve their Italian heritage and soon became a valued American tradition as well.
A New York City tradition stemming from from second and third generation Italian Americans. Nino, owner of Williamsburg Pizza, brings his famous recipe to 310 Bowery Bar.
Nino has won multiple world pizza making competitions and most recently 2016 Pizza Maker of the Year. He puts his own spin on the pizza he remembers as a kid growing up in Brooklyn.
