You can thank Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra, the world’s premier Jazz-Age dance orchestra, steeped in the hot-dance band tradition of the 1920s and early 1930s, performing in ensembles that range from a full dance orchestra to more intimate configurations and bringing their “Hot-and-Sweet” sound wherever discerning tastes gather.
Meticulously authentic, Arenella hand-transcribes the group’s entire repertoire from period recordings, and their instruments, attire, and equipment all reflect the era with faithful precision. His strong yet vulnerable baritone honors each lyric with sincerity, giving even the most optimistic Tin Pan Alley tune a disarming warmth.
Enter, the Winter Ball! Perched upon the 10th Floor of iconic 7 World Trade Center, "The Studio" offers breathtaking city views from floor to ceiling panoramic windows. Revel in a gorgeous Christmas tree and decor, shimmering with crystal and warm light as the band plays jazz and your favorite holiday standards.
