You’ll follow step-by-step instruction from a professional artist who’ll teach you real blending techniques, composition tips, and painting tricks, all while encouraging you to add your own personal flair. Because technically, there are no rules. It’s wine, it’s color, it’s creativity - get ready to unleash it all!
There are over 50 weekly classes to choose from, and you actually get to pick the painting you’ll create. Want to channel the greats? Founded by Kevin Tarasuk, - a Rhode Island School of Design graduate, exhibiting artist, former Artist Assistant at the esteemed Kaikai Kiki Gallery & Dirk Skreber Studio, and winner of the Leo Chestler Contemporary Visual Arts Award - Painting Lounge was born out of a desire to make the joy of painting accessible.
For 15 years, thousands of students have tapped into their artistic side at this legendary spot. They’ll guide you step by step through classic works, as well as original pieces if you want to break the mold. Each location features its own lineup of over weekly classes. In Harlem, you can bring local culture to life with “Apollo Theater”. In Williamsburg, envision “Sail Away.” In Midtown, go romantic with “A Walk In The Rain” - the options are endless!
Painting Lounge also offers private sessions and small group lessons across a variety of mediums, and best of all, all supplies are included. Just bring your drink of choice - be it wine, bubbly, or beer - and settle in for a night of color, inspiration, and good vibes. "This place was AWESOME. Normally I don't do these types of things but I wanted to try this with a friend.... and we bought the pulsd voucher. Our instructor was very friendly, and def kept the class entertained. There was a basic structure to what we were painting but you could add your own touches. I am not great at art by any means but I still had a lot of fun. Will be going back again."
"I came here with some friends. Such a great experience. Everyone is set up at their own easel with paint prepped and given a smock/apron to wear in order to their protect clothes. The class is BYOB - so of course we each bring a bottle of red. Napkins, cups, bottle and wine openers are all provided. Our instructor, Franny, did a wonderful job at leading the class in our painting. We all had so much fun and were happy to have signed up. I will definitely be returning!"
