Before Roman Kusayev became the name behind one of Manhattan's most sought-after salon brands, he was a 17-year-old stylist beginning his career at the legendary John Barrett Salon inside Bergdorf Goodman. Under the mentorship of John Barrett himself, Roman spent around five years immersed in one of New York's most prestigious worlds of luxury hair, laying the foundations for a career that would eventually attract celebrities, fashion insiders & some of the city's most discerning clientele.
From Bergdorf, Roman headed to Butterfly Studio in Flatiron, where he spent roughly a decade honing his talents as a master stylist, developing a loyal following and becoming a sought-after hair authority quoted by publications including Teen Vogue. Then, after some 15 years learning, perfecting & mastering his craft at two of NYC's most respected beauty destinations, he put his own name above the door.
