Lance and Ivy were born and raised in The Bronx and met in middle school. After a brief schoolyard courtship, they have remained friends for over fifty years. They are married close to forty years and have two sons in their thirties. Together they have six decades of hairdressing experience and have been operating Lance Lappin TriBeCa salon longer than three decades.
