Jacques Pépin is one of the world’s most beloved and influential chefs, celebrated for his mastery of French cuisine, his pioneering role in food television, and his warm, approachable teaching style. Born in Bourg-en-Bresse, France, Pépin trained in traditional French kitchens from a young age before moving to the United States, where he became a culinary icon through his bestselling cookbooks, acclaimed PBS programs, and his longtime friendship and collaborations with Julia Child.

Over his decades-long career, Pépin has championed cooking as both an art and a craft, emphasizing technique, simplicity, and the joy of sharing food with others. He is also the brains behind the Jacques Pépin Foundation, which makes culinary education accessible to all. The foundation supports community-based culinary training programs by providing educational resources, grants, and training materials.

Through these initiatives, the JPF helps equip individuals with practical kitchen skills, confidence, and pathways to meaningful work in foodservice, continuing Jacques Pépin’s legacy of empowerment through cooking. In light of his 90th birthday, The Refinery at Domino will play host to a Culinary Celebration.

It all takes place at Skylight within the glass-domed penthouse of The Refinery at Domino. Located on the Williamsburg waterfront at the center of Domino Park, this jewel-box venue offers dramatic views of the Manhattan skyline from its 7,500-square-foot polished penthouse perch. This 19th-century landmark has been transformed into an unparalleled architectural masterpiece.

Think world-class chefs, endless drinks, stunning views of Manhattan, a silent auction, and so many more surprises in store. Doing good has never tasted so great...
