“An Excursion to Frisco” is a solo showcase of new drawings and paintings by artist Max Allbee which takes the viewer back to the turn of the 20th century with illustrations that capture monumental yet often forgotten histories of San Francisco’s teen ages. In Allbee’s work you will find fantastically detailed sumi ink and water colored memories of the gritty rubble and ashes of 1906, to the beautifully dramatic Panama Pacific International Exposition that shadowed over the Golden Gate.
