Head to Washington Square Park for a film on the green. This week, Daft Punk’s music meets Leiji Matsumoto’s designs in the animated musical: Interstella 5555. The movie depicts an unscrupulous music executive who kidnaps an alien techno band, robs them of their identities, passes them off as human, and foists them on an unsuspecting public on Earth. After their arrival and their impact on the human population, the members of the band try to piece their identities back together, escape from the clutches of the evil music executive, and return to their own world.
