A trio of university parapsychologists (Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, and Harold Ramis) lose their research grant and decide to open their own business, "Ghostbusters." Almost immediately they are summoned to investigate the strange happenings in a Central Park West apartment. What they discover is that all of Manhattan is besieged by other worldly demons and that it is up to them to save New York City.
