Kimberly Butler presents images and poetry from her recently published photographic memoir, The Art of Fear, to illustrate the effects of childhood trauma on an artist. She will discuss how she channeled fear into a creative career, photographing hundreds of celebrities and world leaders. Butler’s credits include covers of The New York Times best sellers and shoots for major broadcast networks. Butler has traveled in the Middle East and the former Soviet Union as a photojournalist and documentary filmmaker. She will be joined by Dr. Jacob Ham, director of the Center for Child Trauma and Resilience (CCTR) at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City. Books will be available for purchase and signing.
