In 2009, GVSHP teamed up with James and Karla Murray to discuss their book Store Front—the Disappearing Face of New York, an intimate view of the City’s mom-and-pop stores. Now the Murrays are back with their sequel, New York Nights, which takes the same photographic approach to exploring the history of small businesses through storefront photos, this time taken at night. The authors will share interviews and photographs from their book, revealing how neighborhood stores help set the pulse, life, and texture of their communities.
