Robert Herman has been photographing the streets of New York since his days as an NYU film student in the late 70s when he started exploring the city to connect with his neighborhood and learn the craft of making images. Funded by a successful Kickstarter campaign, his first monograph, "The New Yorkers," is a collection of these photos, all shot on Kodachrome between 1978–2005.
