Inspired by his Mexican heritage and California upbringing, Gerardo Gonzalez reimagines the status quo through flavors, performance and ways we commune. For this inaugural residency, Gonzalez creates time and site specific capsules, harvesting plants and flora from neighborhoods throughout the Boroughs of New York City. An attempt to embody the flavor of each site, the installation celebrates the distinctiveness and abundance of each location.
