Inspired by the rich culinary traditions in the Mediterranean, the sophisticated menu brilliantly pulls together the cheeses, meats, and spices from the Levant, Spain, Greece, and Italy. Only the freshest organic ingredients are used to make everything in-house, including all the sauces, pâtisserie, and gelato in dozens of flavors!
A bottle of organic wine and a decadent house-made dessert complete this extraordinary feast around the world!
From imported cheeses and Parisian chocolates, to local bread, organic greens, and dozens of Lebanese, Greek and Turkish mezze that are made daily in-house, Gastronomie 491 will make you feel like dining in a beloved neighborhood market in a cobblestoned European city.
Take a seat in the bright, cheerful cafe with chandeliers and comfortable banquettes, and feast on organic, thoughtfully sourced dishes that The NY Times calls "inventive and inviting."
Start your meal with the Cheesemonger's Cheese & Charcuterie platter for two, a bespoke first course showcasing hard-to-find imported and local cheeses and cured meats.
For the entree, try the Seafood Platter with market fresh catch of the day, the spice-crusted and sustainable Grilled Scottish Salmon, or the mouthwatering Tirol with luscious speck, Brie cheese, and porcini cream.
Last but not least, indulge in a delectable Ferrara cannoli that's filled-to-order with cream, or the gelato made daily by the resident gelato chef, in tempting flavors like Brooklyn Brewery Chocolate Stout, and Pistacchio di Bronte with real, DOP Sicilian pistachios. In one word: Deliciosisimo!
