As a thank-you to this incredible city, join in on the California Coastal Cleanup Day to help out the first volunteer event focused on the marine environment in the country. Last year, more than 80,600 volunteers worked together to collect more than 1,300,000 pounds of trash from California's beaches, lakes, and waterways. California Coastal Cleanup Day has been hailed by the Guinness Book of World Records as "the largest garbage collection".

Join the effort this Saturday, September 25 from 9am to 12pm to clean up Ocean Beach. Water and snacks will be provided, but BRING GLOVES AND A REUSABLE BAG if you have them. Dress in comfortable clothing and closed toe shoes.

YOU DON'T HAVE TO STAY FOR ALL THREE HOURS -- JUST COME FOR WHAT YOU CAN! And as a thank-you for your help, there will also be a free sunrise yoga class and Whole Foods breakfast from 8:00 to 9:00.

Meet at Stairwell #17 near Fulton and Great Highway. There is a parking lot there, you can also take the N Judah to Judah and Great Highway and walk a few blocks.

Share this great opportunity to serve our community with your friends on Facebook and Twitter, and enjoy the beach, free yoga, and breakfast!
