Born and raised in Cyprus, Chef Christou attended The French Culinary Institute, moving on to working at L'École alongside masters like Jacques Pépin and André Soltner. He soon returned to his Greek roots, working at Molyvos, where the restaurant earned three stars from The New York Times. His resume also includes favorites like Estiatorio Milos, Trata, and Avra.

Hailing from Cyprus, the legendary Chef Christou has crafted a storied career that reads like a culinary legend. Beginning his journey under the guidance of Jacques Pépin, he ascended to the prestigious role of Executive Chef at Milos, which earned two stars from The New York Times, and even had the honor of cooking for President Obama.
He later became the Executive Chef at Estiatorio Milos, earning him even more acclaim. Christou then joined Trata and later Avra as Executive Chef, but despite cooking for Hollywood stars and dignitaries, he preferred a more intimate connection with his guests.
Enter Yefsi, which has garnered applause from The New York Times, Forbes, Time Out, & Eater. It is his most personal project, and it's where Chef Christou's technical mastery and passion both shine in dishes with spectacular flavors and freshly-sourced ingredients.
